I always struggle to make boyish or masculine cards but my little boy just turned 6 so I am getting better at doing them. This card is a uses the birthday stamp from the July kit of the month, I love this birthday stamp, it's so versatile and pairs well with my extensive spellbinders collection since it is a circle shape. Too be honest my son wasn't impressed with his card it was the batman cake I made that he loved but I hope when he gets older he appreciates my cards (wishful thinking I know).
Supplies used: Unity Stamps July KOTM, Memento Ink, AC Cardstock, DCWV Monsters and Robots Paper, Spellbinders Standard Circles Small and Large.
This is a great masculine card! Love the background paper! Thanks for the inspiration! My bother in law's birthday is next week and, like you, I struggle with masculine cards. Not sure if any 6 year olds are impressed with cards, it's all about the cake! Which is awesome by the way!
ReplyDeleteNananananananana.......BATMAN!!! Of course, the cake is what he was really wow-ed with......who wouldn't be???? Fabulously decorated. Truly impressive!! But I think your card is wonderful, too!! My experience is that cards are wasted on guys...of all ages. lol.... Just cut to the chase and make a cool cake with presents for a boy kid and give a heartfelt gift to the hubby with a tiny 2X2 card. Ha. Save the major card efforts for your sisters and girlfriends. They love 'em! :)

ReplyDeleteI love making cards for my boyfriend. Most of them are silly and funny cards. I love the background paper used for this card and the celebrate its your birthday stamp in the center. I think its great that you can change the background to make it a card for someone young or someone older depending on age. Maybe a cartoon background for a child, or a "manly" background for someone older.
