Mini Album #3

This is my final post of the mini albums I made for Christmas gifts.   I made them for non scrapbookers so I made the photomats 4.5" x 6.5" so that they would fit 4x6 pictures without cropping.  This is the album I gave to my mom and she loved it.  The albums made a nice dent in my stash which despite my best efforts seems to grow when I am not looking.  I used some Phyllis Harris and Echo Park stamps from Unity on the photo/journalling mats.  I liked the look of stamping on patterned paper and I am going to try it again.

Here is a video of all the albums I made since its hard to get good pictures of the albums themselves.

Christmas Mini Album # 2

I am sharing the second of three mini albums I made for Christmas gifts.  This one was for my mother in law and she loves bright colors so I made this one from the Mango Frost stack by DCWV.  This was one of her favorite paper stacks and I wanted to use papers I knew she would love.  I will be posting the third album later this week and with that one I will post a video since I find its really hard to take pictures to show the albums with all the flaps, pull outs etc.

Love notes

I made these note cards for an online crop I am participating in, but I just love how this simple design turned out.  These are for the kids lunches and they will be great for Valentines day.  The nice thing about this was that I was able to use scraps and next time I think I will make a set of cards.  These would make a nice set of cards to use as a gift.

Friends with Flair-Sympathy Card

I just got some horrible news last night, one of my frends and former DT member at CropChocolate Jenn Koss passed away.  It seems so surreal that we were just chatting a couple of days ago and then this happened.  She was a very funny and kind hearted person, and an huge twine addict.  She loved bright and vivid colors and loved, loved twine which is how this card came together.  As the mother of 4 boys (including triplets) she never liked pastels or bling which are my favorites.  I wanted to do something I knew she would like so I picked a color of cardstock I knew she like (I made her flowers from it before and they were her favorite of the batch) and twine to match.

Christmas Mini's

Today I am sharing the first of three mini albums I made for Christmas gifts.  This is actually the last one I made and it was for my daughter.  I made the other two for my mom and my mother in law and when she saw them she asked for one.  I have to admit it was a bit of a rush to finish hers in time but I love how it turned out and so did she.  Once I have all three posted I will link a video showing each album since they are very hard to photograph.  One thing that is hard to see in the pictures is that each page has a top pocket with a tab that holds photo mats for more photos.  This style album holds tons of 4x6 pictures and makes a great gift for non scrappers since they don't need to crop the pictures down.

Melted Snowman Ornaments

I have been wanting to post this one for a while but with all the bad weather we had (ice storm, blizzard) it took awhile for all the volunteers to get their gifts.  I made these to go with these thank you cards for the volunteers in the preschool room at our church.  The kids even got in on the action and we had a blast making them.  Its not my usual type of project but I thought they were so cute I just had to share.

Friends with Flair-Dreams

I just got this new set of dies and couldn't wait to play with them, they are so elegant and I just love the embossing and debossing that the can do.  They are so elegant, I think they will become my new go to die, I can't wait to really play with this set.  I think it would look amazing on a layout and that is going to be my next project with it.
