Catching up - FWF

I know its January and most likely cold where you are (it's very cold here) but I am getting caught up on layouts so here is a Halloween layout of my son from last year.  I have been challenging myself to use my stamps on layouts and I used two Unity sets (EP Times and Seasons Numbers and Ticket to Fun).

Here is the sketch I based it on:

Supplies Used: DCWV Cardstock, K&Company Spooktackular, Unity Stamps Times and Seasons and Ticket to Fun, MS Punch Aroungd Page Spiderweb

Proud to be a big sister

Here is another layout from my scrapbooking retreat.  I love how it turned out even though it was so far from what I planned but the banner became my favorite part.  I brought my MS punch around the page set with me and didn't bring the measurements so I had to guess.  I was about 1/8" off and needed to cover the boo boo so I came up with the banner to fix it.  These were just extra pictures of my daughter holding her baby bother when he was little.  She loved to hold him and help take care of him, she was really into her own "babies" at the time and would treat them like they were real.

Supplies used: MS doiley punch, Spellbinders circles, stars, font 1 lowercase, DCWV Baby Boy and Pastel stack

Memorabilia Pocket

This month we were given a picture to use as our inspiration, the picture was drawn by Amber's daughter.  She is such a cutie and when I saw the picture the red color stood out to me the most.  I remembered my daughter's school picture and picked the paper from there.

It also reminded me that I have a ton of art work from my daughter and I thought making a memorabilia pocket to go with her school picture would be a great way to store it.  Here is the project, I made a title on the pocket with her grade, school and the year but I just didn't feel comfortable putting that on my blog.  Here is the pile of stuff I had.

I decided to use a version of the pockets I use to store birthday and Christmas cards for my daughters important school work, I put her class picture and report card in here as well.

Here are the tutorial on how to make it:
1. Cut a piece of cardstock to 12 x 6"

2. Score the cardstock at the 1/2" mark on the two short sides and one long side

Directions:

3. Draw a line on the 45 degree angle on the bottom corners, cut these off. By cutting thes
miters the bottom corners will lay flat

 4. Take a bone folder and crease the score marks

 5. Decorate the pocket on the outside

6. Add strong adhesive to the flaps and adhere to the bottom of the page
7. Finish decorating page and fill with memorabilia

Supplies used:
FP Winterwonderland paper
Snake Tape
MS Swirling Lace punch

Always and Forever Mini Album

Okay I have to admit I forgot about this Valentines project when I said there would be no more.  This is a mini album I made for Valentines Day.  My husband and I like to make gifts for each other and this was mine to him.  The left side of the album is from our wedding day and the right side is from our vow renewal.  I have to brag my husband up a bit (okay a lot) for that one.  For our 12th wedding anniversary he surprised me with vow renewals at our church.  He made the invitations, wrote the vows, bought a new ring, re proposed, planned a small reception, cooked up a reason to get me to the church, and even made a scrapbook page with the vows.  Our computer died last week so when the new one is up and running I will post pictures of his wonderful creations.  I still remember heading to the church (we had to drop something off) on our way to my 'surprise'.  My husband kind of let me think he was taking me to see Miss Saigon and instead he dropped to one knee and proposed again in front of our friends and family.  I am still so shocked that no one let the cat out of the bag.  I still have to finish that album but I thought this would make a sweet gift and this is what I was hiding in my 'pizza box' that I made for the blog hop.  I know people were wondering what was in the box and now you know.
