Growing in Unity Blog Hop

Welcome to the March Growing in Unity Blog Hop, I am super excited to be a part of this talented team of ladies and I was surprised to see how many of them are former Crop Chocolate gals.   You should have come here from Paula's Blog.  When I saw the stamp of the week image Berry Sweet Momments I knew it would make the perfect card for my daughter.  It's been a while since I made a flap card and I thought that this would be perfect for it.

Birthday Card

|I made this card for the Stack a holic challenge at DCWV and also for the FWF at Unity.  It's actually a birthday card for my husband which is why I used a little cork heart and the be mine papers from DCWV.  They are still one of my favorite collections and I have made him a few projects with that stack (I actually loved it so much I bought another).  I am also on a cork kick lately ever since I discovered I could cut in with my spellbinders, I thought it was just the touch it needed.

Little Girl Birthday Card

I made this card for my daughters friend, they have been friends since junior kindergarten and have even been in the same class for french immersion (including the split class which is quite remarkable).  She is such a sweet little girl and my daughter asked me to make her a special cupcake card for her birthday party tomorrow.

Valentine ATC

I have to admit I am not much an ATC maker (I have only done them once) but I didn't want to miss out on the ATC swap with some of my old CC friends so I bit the bullet and tried them again.  I am hoping to make an ATC wallet like I saw from G45 around CHA time and I figured I needed some ATC's to go in it. I also realized I can cut cork with my spellbinders which is my favorite part of these and I can't wait to try that again.

International Flair:Picture Frames

When I got my first set of Imperial Gold dies I instantly fell in love with the debossing and embossing on these dies. When i saw the Gold Majesty Circles in person for the fist time I was pleasantly surprised at how big they were.  Immediately they reminded me of a picture frame and that was my inspiration for this project.
I cut and embossed some gold shimmer cardstock and layered it to four pieces of white chipboard (no circle cut out on the back) and created a small piece to be the easel.  I wanted this to be slim so that it was barely visible from the front.  Before I attached the back I cut the picture out with my spellbinders circles and a piece of transparency to protect the picture (slightly larger than the opening).  I think these would also make great magnets so that will be my next variation (great gift idea for Grandparents).

Supplies used:  Spellbinders Gold Majesty Circles, Spellbinders standard circles large and small, Core'dinations Pearlescent cardstock.

DCWV Stack a Holic Challenge

I am sharing a layout I made for the DCWV February stack-a-holic sketch challenge, woo hoo I made the top 10. It was a really nice sketch to work with but I have to be honest I have a hard time doing things crooked. LOL sometimes I do but it can be a bit challenging for me to do it. I figure if I can get over fussy cutting then this is something I can conquer.

Growing in Unity Winner

Thanks for all the wonderful comments you all left, they were truly heartwarming.  Just to answer a couple of questions the baby card is made with spellbinders but it can also be done with punches.  If I can find the original tutorial I will otherwise I will update it but I need to to some research to see if I can give credit back to the original creator.
Without further ado the winner of two itty bitty's of their choice is:
