Growing in Unity Day 1

I am so excited to be the Growing in Unity Girl this week, I have been waiting so long!  I have been hooked on their stamps ever since I got my first set Ticket to Christmas from Crop Chocolate.  I used to be a clear stamp person but after using the red rubber from Unity I have been hooked.  I also started using my Shinhan Touch markers I bought a while ago and realized that it is actually fun to color and fussy cut.

I have to confess I am a lefty and used to hate it so much I made my husband do it if I really needed something, but I was pretty good at avoiding it.  I think the problem was I needed the right scissors because once I did it wasn't that bad and I actually started to enjoy it (although being a lefty means I am cutting on the wrong side lol).  One of the favorite things about getting ready for this week has been sharing with my daughter,  she loves to stamp and color more than me and even convinced my husband "we" needed more colors.  He is a such a sweetheart, (in case he actually reads my blog).

Please leave a comment and stop by each day this week for your chance to win your choice of two itty bitty stamps from Unity Stamp Company.  Don't let the name fool you they are not itty and some of my favorite sets are itty bitty.

Supplies Used:  Phyllis Harris Your Wings Exist Unity Stamp, DCWV Sweet Tangerine Stack, Twinery Caribbean Twine, Shinhan Touch Markers

  12. Beautiful start to your GIU week Corrie. I'm a lefty also and it took me FOREVER to getting cutting down (no such things as left-handed scissors for sure) and I know what you mean about cutting backward-LOL! You did a great job with this image.

  26. LOVELY (i see a minty theme going on here!) color scheme, and the Phyllis Harris stamps are too beautiful. i laughed about your fussy cutting story - it's one of my favourite things to do! i don't know why but i find it relaxing and i don't think i can make a card without fussy cutting some kind of element. :)

  32. What a pretty card, Corrie. Love PH and this is such a beautiful stamp. Isn't it so fun that your hobby is a family affair. My hubby lets me share my designs with him all the time and has become quite a knowledgeable soul in the paper crafting department! Have a great Unity week! Looking forward to seeing the rest of your treasures.

    1. LOL it sounds like your hubby is a scrapbook widow too. I love crafting with the kids and even my son loves to make die cut fruit pieces (typical boy thinking with his stomach)
