Thank you card set

I am sharing a set of thank you cards I made, I have been wanting to try using a rollerball with embossing folders so I gave it a try.  I  will post a tutorial on how to make them but I think a video works best for this technique so when I get a chance I will do so.  I made the box with a paper from the Craftsmith and I have to say I love how it folds.  No cracking at all, nice and smooth, so excited to use it again (got some more this week ;) ).

Christmas Ornament

Well I don't know about where you live, but right now winter is here with a big bang.  We got a foot in one night.  I know that is nothing compared to Buffalo but its cold.  Of course the kids are super excited they get to play in the snow, build snowmen, make snow angles.  I have started on Christmas crafts and decided to make some ornaments, I cut four spellbinders Parisian Accents and scored and folded each one and then glued them together.  I stamped the centers with Unity Snow Flake Kisses, they turned out cute.

Hexagon Card

A while back I made a card using hexagons as the back ground.  I loved the look and decided to try it again but this time I popped some of the hexagons up.  I also tried something else new, using the spellbinders dies as a stencil for mists.  It's a very subtle look since I used a clear mist and its very hard to photograph but the butterfly has is sparkly in the parts that have been embossed.  Please don't mind the sentiment, its straight but because of the angle I used it looks a bit off (at least to me it does).  It was a tough call because I wanted to get a picture showing the dimension of some of the hexagons and the glimmer on the butterfly wings and in the camera angle something had to give.

Teacher Appreciation # 3

Here is the last of the mini albums I made for the kids teachers last June.  This was also made with the Monsters and Robots stack from DCWV.  The albums made with this stack were perfect for my son's Kindergarten teacher/assistant.  I even made the covers from his favorite snack Blueberry Yogurt Breakfast Bear Paws.  It was a special treat she used to give him and when I told her she thought it was a special touch.  I also had son write a thank you note to them and I put this in an envelope on the inside cover.

Here is a picture of all three albums together and a video I made of them.  They are very hard to photograph so that is why I created a video to show them as well.

Teacher Appreciation # 2

Phew this has been a super busy week, I had to unexpectedly go out of town and to top it off it was my daughters birthday today.  This meant that after I was down taking the kids trick or treating I had to make a doll cake (you know the kind where the cake is the skirt).  It was a late night last night but she loved it.  I even had time to pull out my bag maker and used it to make some quick and easy treat bags for the party.

I am posting the second teacher appreciation album (a little late I know) but the good news is I did find a video. So when I post the third one, I will add the video showing all three of them.  This was made for my son's junior kindergarten teacher.  She was amazing and I even had him write a thank you note for her.
